Well I managed to avoid the studying munchies today.
I remember when I did my GCSE's I used to study in the garden.....I would study in the morning then walk to the shop as my folks had told me exercise and a break would stimulate my brain. I always walked my dog to local shop and picked up something nice as a treat for the afternoon study. Only now do I allow myself to recall how I used to pick up the large family packs of maltesers or revels and I would consume this in the afternoon every afternoon whilst I revised. Not only that but my mum and dad would feed melots of nice big wholesome meals usually with a pudding to help me cos I was studying so hard. :o)
Well I did taht throughout my GCSE's....oh yes and now I think of it our ice cream man came round every night and I used to be so impressed becuase he knew my sister and I by name.....now I think it was because we saw him every night.....ice cream treats or 10p mixes i was always there :o(. And then 2 years of studying for my A levels...and the invention of giant cadburys buttons.....OMG I can't imagine how many points I ate those days no wonder I was in a size 22 skirt from evans for my headmasters sherry party for leavers.....I was mortified :o(
Uni was a little better...it was teh first time I realised that most people had a snack type lunch and then a large meal at night rather than a big meal for both. I was on school dinners prior to that and it was chips with everything, and then home to a big meal at night. I am lucky as my family was the type of family that sat and ate tea together, and I am pleased about that, but wish I had had less as part of my school meal.
Well my MSc is here and another load of study but, despite the increase in pressure due to living alone and this time it actually counting for something and me actually paying for it , well this time I am being aware of my eating habits whilst studying.
Today I had a deadline and my fridge was stocked with no point jelly and low point snacks.....actually I did not need them as have gorged self on jar of baby beetroot....oh I will have pink pee tonight lol
maybe the ww habits are finally making sense lol
Oh, and I promised to post a pic of my mum as a beautiful bride, I have found a lovely one of my mum and dad caught off guard...they are such lovely people and I don't think that 40 years of marriage have changed them that much......that being said I need to think about dealing with the next weight loss hurdle which is their wedding anniversary dinner on saturday :o)
